• Outer fabric: cotton poplin or batiste, in the print of your choice.
• Lining fabric: cotton poplin or batiste, plain or printed.
• Fusible fleece (H630 type): to give the basket body and structure.
• 1.5 m (1⅝ yd) of cord or rat-tail: for the drawstring closure.
• 2 beads: to hold the cords and add a decorative finish.

Plus your usual sewing kit: sewing machine, matching thread, scissors, pins or clips, and an iron.

💡 Our tip: choose two coordinating fabrics to play with contrast between the outside and the lining. For Christmas, pair a festive print with a tartan lining.
