Terms of sale

Version of 2 November 2026

1. Scope

These Terms of Sale govern all sales concluded between Coudre Shop SAS ("we", "us") and any consumer ("you") on coudre.shop. They apply to any order placed on the website, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections available to you in your country of habitual residence.

Any order implies full acceptance of these Terms, which you acknowledge having read before validating your cart.

2. Seller

The seller of all products offered on coudre.shop is:

Coudre Shop SAS
Société par actions simplifiée with a share capital of €500
122 rue Amelot, 75011 Paris, France
RCS Paris 981 975 626 — VAT: FR 30 981975626
Email: bonjour@coudre.shop

The names of designers shown on product pages identify the authors of the patterns. They are not the seller: whatever the origin of the pattern, the sale is concluded with Coudre Shop SAS.

3. Products

The products offered are digital content: sewing patterns in PDF format and video courses. No physical product is sold on this website and no physical medium is shipped.

Each product page specifies the files included, the available formats (A4, US Letter), the language(s) of the pattern and, where applicable, the number of sizes and the availability of size layers.

4. Prices

Prices are shown in euros, including all taxes, excluding any bank charges relating to your payment method. The applicable VAT rate is that of your country of residence, in accordance with European rules applicable to electronically supplied services.

We may change our prices at any time. The applicable price is the one displayed when the order is validated.

5. Orders

You select your products, add them to your cart, check your order and confirm it by clicking the order button bearing the wording indicating an obligation to pay. This click constitutes conclusion of the contract and an obligation to pay.

A confirmation email is sent after payment, summarising the order and containing the download link.

6. Payment

Payment is made exclusively by credit or debit card through Shopify Payments. No other payment method is currently offered. Card data is processed by Shopify Payments; we never have access to the full card number.

If your bank declines authorisation, the order is automatically cancelled and no file is made available.

7. Delivery of files

Files are made available immediately after payment is received, through a download link displayed at the end of your order and sent simultaneously by email.

This link is valid for a limited period indicated on the download page. You are responsible for saving your files before it expires. For video courses, access is granted for the duration stated on the product page. No shipping costs are charged.

8. Right of withdrawal

8.1 Principle. As a consumer, you have fourteen (14) days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw, without giving reasons and without penalty.

8.2 How to withdraw. Notify us of your decision by an unambiguous statement sent to Coudre Shop SAS, 122 rue Amelot, 75011 Paris, France, or by email to bonjour@coudre.shop. The model withdrawal form in section 8.4 may be used but is not mandatory. Sending your notification before the 14-day period expires is sufficient.

8.3 Refund. We refund all sums received without undue delay and no later than fourteen days after receiving your notification, using the same payment method as the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise. No fee is charged for this refund.

8.4 Digital content exception. Under Article L221-28 13° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for digital content supplied without a physical medium where performance began after your prior express consent and your express acknowledgement that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. This consent is collected at checkout through a mandatory checkbox you must tick before payment. If you have not ticked this box, your 14-day right of withdrawal remains fully applicable.

Model withdrawal form — To: Coudre Shop SAS, 122 rue Amelot, 75011 Paris, France — bonjour@coudre.shop:
"I hereby notify you that I withdraw from the contract for the sale of the following goods / for the supply of the following service: ______________________. Ordered on: __________ / received on: __________. Name of consumer: ______________________. Address of consumer: ______________________. Signature (paper notification only): ______________________. Date: __________."

9. Licence and intellectual property

Purchasing a pattern grants you a personal, non-transferable right to use it for making garments and accessories for your own use or for your close family.

The following are prohibited without our prior written permission: reselling, sharing, lending, gifting, publishing or otherwise making the PDF files available, including free of charge; reproducing and distributing the patterns, graded patterns or cutting sheets; mass production; using the files as a basis for creating and selling a derivative pattern.

Sewing garments for personal use is permitted in all cases. Any commercial exploitation of the files themselves requires our prior written consent. Copyright remains with the respective designers.

10. Legal guarantees

We supply digital content that conforms to its description on the product page. A file is notably non-conforming if it cannot be opened or printed with common PDF software, if it does not contain the announced pages, or if the stated dimensions do not match the file supplied.

In the event of non-conformity, you may request that the digital content be brought into conformity, free of charge, within two years of supply. If this is impossible or not carried out within a reasonable time, you may obtain a price reduction or terminate the contract under the conditions provided by the French Consumer Code.

The guarantee against hidden defects under Article 1641 of the French Civil Code also applies. Opening and printing the files requires a standard PDF reader and a printer compatible with the chosen format; the absence of such equipment does not constitute a lack of conformity.

11. Liability

We are liable only for direct and foreseeable damage resulting from failure to perform our obligations. We are not liable for the unsuitability of a pattern to a particular body shape, nor for the outcome of sewing work carried out by you. A sewing pattern is not made-to-measure clothing: you should make a toile to check the fit before cutting your final fabric.

These limitations do not apply in the event of personal injury, gross or wilful misconduct, or where prohibited by law.

12. Personal data

Data collected when you order is necessary to process your order and manage our customer relationship. It is processed in accordance with our privacy policy, available at /policies/privacy-policy.

13. Complaints and mediation

Any complaint may be sent to bonjour@coudre.shop or by post to Coudre Shop SAS, 122 rue Amelot, 75011 Paris, France. We answer within fifteen working days.

In accordance with Article L612-1 of the French Consumer Code, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge: CM2C — Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France — litiges@cm2c.net — www.cm2c.net/declarer-un-litige.php. Mediation requires a prior written complaint to us within one year.

14. Applicable law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. If you reside in another European Union Member State, you also benefit from the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first; failing that, you may bring the matter before the competent court of your place of residence.

15. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force and the invalid provision is replaced by the applicable legal rule. These Terms may be amended at any time; the version applicable is the one in force on the date your order is validated.
